Major Improvements to FLIBS Adds to Enhanced Customer Experience and Profits

Since Informa Exhibitions’ purchase of Show Management, the producer of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), in 2017, there have been a number of positive improvements made to the show to enhance the customer experience while connecting sellers with the right buyers for improved
profits. In a feature in the South Florida Business Journal, Former Show Management CEO Efrem “Skip” Zimbalist III noted, “Multiple potential buyers had been expressing interest in the company (Show Management) and by far Informa would be the best home. That’s because of the company’s expertise in media and event management. It was also a good time for some investors to see returns.”

 Andrew Doole, Vice President and General Manager of Informa U.S. Boat Shows, said, “We’re trying to attract a better attendee to the show, whether it’s through social media or just researching more qualified buyers to come to the show. Increasing attendance doesn’t help the vendors; finding qualified buyers does.”

 Vendors have noticed the positive changes to the show, including ones that will expand their profits. Informa Exhibitions has improved the show’s look and feel with better signage, newer infrastructure, upgraded dining options and increased marketing to the right clientele who ultimately make a difference.
